Oh, these things always require an introduction, don't they? Well, I'm Steve. Some of you know me by other names, depending on where you might know me from. Anyway this is my travel blog for the time I'm studying abroad in Japan. Seems gratuitous on top of the FaceBook posts and journal I'm already keeping, but it was suggested, and maybe it'll help me out down the road.
So, about me. I'm a (very nearly) 35 year old foreign exchange student currently studying at Nanzan University in Nagoya, Japan. I'm here to study the Japanese language, or 日本語 (pronounced Nihongo). I'll be sprinkling in some Japanese with the English translations along the way, both to help me remember and because I think it'll be fun.
For those of you keeping track at home, this is going to be the single best seven to nine months of my life to stalk me. I've never really kept a very open presence online, so this'll be a new experience. Good thing most of the readership is probably going to be half a world away!
